7-week Language Program

Experience a deep language immersion in our 18 hours/week full-time program. Full-time students are eligible for I-20s. Our part-time program lets you choose one, two, or more classes per week. We offer part-time classes in the day and evening. Our programs help you learn to communicate in the real world, whether your focus is on academic advancement, business success, or social situations.

The Language Connection is dedicated to helping students after regular class times by offering many program extras. Program extras may include:

• Free or low-cost Friday excursions around Manhattan to see the sights and experience NYC culture and life
• Free conversation partners who help students to improve their speaking and listening skills
• Free student workshops on topics, such as How to Write the College Application Essay, Tips for Summary Writing and The Art of Small Talk

Special Programs

1. Corporate English
The Language Connection offers courses to improve corporate communication and help participants develop the English language fluency and cross-cultural awareness needed to communicate effectively in a high-tech, global business environment. Courses can be tailored to the needs of your organization.

2. Junior Study Vacations in the summer
The Language Connection of St. John's University creates customized Junior Study Vacation summer programs for teens coming to New York on educational tours. Typical course offerings during the summer are 15 hours per week. All ESL proficiency levels are available. Customized programs are normally 2 weeks, but 3-, 4- and 6-week programs can be designed upon request. Let us know your needs and we will create a course for you or your group.

3. TLC Au Pair Study Program
TLC Au Pair Study Program is offered through The Language Connection (TLC), the English Language Institute of St. John's University. Our goal is to provide au pairs like you with a wide selection of courses that:

• Develop your interests
• Enrich your cultural exchange
• Satisfy your educational requirements
